Jason Statham’s ‘Wild Card’ set to hit Indian screens this February

Wild Card”, Top lined by Jason Statham is an action-crime drama directed by Simon West, who is best known for directing action-blockbusters like Con-Air, Tomb Raider and Expendables 2. He returns with a script written by William Goldman and teams up again with Statham after their hugely successful “Mechanic”. Wild Card also stars Stanley Tucci, Sofia Vergara, Milo Ventimiglia, Michael Angarano and Anne Heche.

Featuring action sequences that cover pure raw hand-to-hand action, Wild Card is an action buffs delight. Wild Card is based on the 1958 novel ‘Heat’ by William Goldman and interestingly, the film happens to be a remake of the 1986 adaptation, also titled Heat that starred Burt Reynolds.

Wild Card shows the life of a recovering gambler (Jason Statham) whose addiction has led him to the streets of Las Vegas, forcing him to take odd jobs providing security to support his addiction. It releases in India on 6th February, 2015.

Nick Wild (Jason Statham) is a Las Vegas bodyguard with lethal professional skills and a personal gambling problem. When a friend is beaten by a sadistic thug, Nick strikes back, only to find out the thug is the son of a powerful mob boss. Suddenly, Nick is plunged into the criminal underworld, chased by enforces and wanted by the mob. Having raised the stakes, Nick has one last time, it’s all or nothing. >From two-time Academy Award-winning writer William Goldman (Best Original Screenplay, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, 1969; Best Adapted Screenplay, All the President’s Men, 1976).
